Our Payment Policy

Losing someone you love is a devastating experience. It can be very traumatic and seriously impact one's judgment. Therefore, it is important to be realistic with respect to funeral expenditures. One of the most important responsibilities that we have to each family we serve is to bring your emotional and financial needs together, whatever the circumstances may be. We do not want your choices to be more than is affordable, nor less than you would like to arrange.

Napier Funeral Home & Crematory has established the following uniform payment policy. This payment policy enables us to keep costs down for all families we serve, as well as treat everyone fairly:

-         Payment for all goods and services are due at the time arrangements are made.

-         An obituary will not be placed nor will service times be set until payment has been secured.

-         We do not finance or extend credit. If a long-term payment plan is desired, we are partnered with a third-party lender, or you may use a lender of your choice.

-         A 3% discount will be given on the Funeral Home Charges only, to all accounts paid in full via cash. This excludes Cash Advance Items and Sales Tax and this discount is not available to accounts paid via life insurance assignment or credit card.

-         We accept all major credit cards, but a credit card processing fee of 3% will be added to the total statement of funeral goods and services.

We accept life insurance policy assignments, under the following conditions:

-         The policy must be verified to be in force & non-contestable (in force for at least 2 years).

-         The policy must be assignable, and payable to Napier Funeral Home & Crematory and/or C& J Financial.

-         Due to the length of time it takes to fully process life insurance, we are partnered with a third-party insurance processor. That service is a 3.98 % fee against the            insurance policy, collected by C&J financial. In the case that a family wants to process their own life insurance, payment for all goods and services are due at the time arrangements are made. An obituary will not be placed nor will service times be set until payment has been secured.

-         Finally, we do not except “future payment” from estates, settlements, or GoFundMe accounts, due to the time it takes to receive payment. In this case, a family member will have to pay the funeral bill and apply for reimbursement.

It is our policy to provide first-class service to everyone. We respect the dignity of those we serve and ask that if you are dealing with limited funds, please do not hesitate to tell us of your circumstances and we will tailor a service to fit your budget. We will never compromise a dignified funeral service as we are able to offer alternatives and options for any situation.
