Tony Lyn Rhoden

October 1, 1955 — July 8, 2022

Tony Lyn Rhoden, 67, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. Born on October 1, 1955, in Augusta, GA, Tony resided in Aiken, SC. He grew up attending Memorial Baptist Church and later became a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, both of Aiken. Tony came to know the Lord and despite his struggles, knew through his faith, that Jesus Christ was his Savior.  

A graduate of Aiken Technical College, his achievements also included over 20 years of experience as a Quality Auditor and CMM programmer with Aiken and Augusta’s top military manufacturers. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and husband as well as a very proud father. Tony was an avid photographer and musician, using the camera to express his talent in pictures and the dobro and pedal steel, and his love of music. He was a master carpenter, who could build practically anything. Tony wanted most of all to be close to his family and enjoyed leisure time with them grilling, camping, hiking, boating, and fishing at the lake. Tony was truly loved and will be missed by all.

Tony is survived by his father and mother, Benjamin F. and Geneva H. Rhoden; sisters, Debra Hackworth (John), Port Charlotte, FL, and Julie Woodward (Bill), Evans, GA; daughters, Sierra Nicole Rhoden (John), Longmont, CO, Katherine M. White (Patrick), Charlotte, NC; Linda Rhoden (wife of 32 years) and Brother-in-law Ben (Brenda) Newman, Aiken, SC, Brother-in-law Mark Scott, St. Petersburg. FL, and Sister-in-law Sandy DeLancey, St. Petersburg, FL. Tony also treasured his numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Gladys F. Rhoden, in addition to his maternal grandparents, John P. and India Harris.  

A Graveside Service for Tony will take place Friday, July 15, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist or Grace Presbyterian Church, both of Aiken.
