Mr. John Kenneth Cuppernell entered into rest Thursday, August 4, 2022.
Born in Charleston, S.C. to the late Clarence Josephs and Gladys Virginia Cuppernell in 1946. John served honorably with the United States Army for 3 years, 14 months of which he served in Vietnam. He later went on to work for Club Car in Augusta, G.A. where he retired after 36 years. John was a devoted husband who loved his wife dearly and unconditionally. He was an avid fan and supporter of Trump and the Alabama Crimson Tide. He enjoyed golfing and singing. He loved his family and his dog. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and especially his enjoyment of feeding birds and squirrels outside the house every day.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, John Edward Cuppernell; bestfriend, James Manuel; and dear friend Bernie Manuel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Cuppernell; son, Thomas Leftet Cuppernell; daughter, Veronica Lynn Wells; sister Connie Lou Annis; brothers-in-law, James Franklin Crook, Lawrence Leftet Crook; sister-in-law, Linda Clara (Billy Wayne) Higgins; grandchildren, Maniah Storm Wells, Reagan Nicole Corbit, Nevaeh Hope Cuppernell, Lilly Grace Gainey, Christian Alexander Still, John Corbit Cuppernell, Rickey Steve Corbit III; great-grandson, Edward Alexander Joe Still; niece, Tammy McKenny; nephew, Rickey Steve Corbit II; Laura Manuel (Carlton) Downs, who he loved like a daughter; and dear friends, Matthew Jones, Jamie (Mandy) Manuel, and Shannon Lord (Todd Ezerneck).
A Funeral Service, celebrating his life, will be held Sunday August 7, 2022 at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 5 P.M. with Pastor Hardee to officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
