Dana Nichole Richardson

Ms. Dana Nichole Richardson, age 48, passed away suddenly on Saturday December 25, 2021 at her home in Aiken SC.

She is survived by her parents, Teresa Ivey (Cecil) Scott; sister, Kayla Scott; fiancé, Jackson ‘Wayne’ Pope; aunts and uncles, Steve Ivey, Sharon Harley, Kevin (Elaine) Ivey, Shirley (Jerry) Couch; Carol (Gene) Herron, Ray (Sherry) Scott; and many family members of her fiancé that she loved dearly including cousins, Brad, Brandi, Jason, Staci, Brittany, Wesley; Jennifer, Amanda, Genia, Rusty, Brad, Chris and Kim.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lee and Shirley Ivey; paternal grandparents, Austin Richardson, and Raymond and Nancy Scott; father, Danny Richardson; and a cousin, Jerry Couch, Jr.
Dana loved her family, her friends that were her family, and animals. She had a passion specifically for homeless dogs and was constantly sharing their information to help find them their forever homes. She loved hair and makeup and in another life would have been the perfect cosmetologist – so she just practiced on her own hair and all her friends. Her sister can attest to that. Dana was the kind of friend everyone would be lucky to have – loyal, steadfast, and protective. To be loved by her was a gift. Her laughter and her way of finding the fun in every situation will be so
deeply missed.
A memorial service honoring Dana’s life will be held Friday December 31, 2021 at 2pm at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville with Pastor Jody Padgett officiating. Friends may greet the family following the service.
