She was my great aunt and she was one of the sweetest people I've ever met.

I worked with Norene Powell at the Savannah River Site until I took early retirement and moved to Flintstone, GA. She had a great family. Norene was a great person and will be truly missed.

We were shocked and saddened by Norene's sudden death. Our sincere condolences are extended

Just a few weeks ago I posted that my sweet Mother (Ellen Bush) had passed away and Norene commented on that posting - not knowing that they'd be together in heaven only a short time later. Norene was such a sweet, special lady with a dry sense of humor! Loved her so much. Love and prayers to Jimmie, Josh and Brian. She loved you all dearly.

I'm sending my prayers & condolences to all Norene's family and her sister Betty & Johnny. I got to know Norene well when we worked together at SRS. She worked hard as some work we did, we did together. It was a pleasure to see her every day at work. I'm so glad our paths crossed.

Jimmy and family and Betty: Norene was such a sweet, special person who could make you feel better just with her smile. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and as well as a dear friend. She will be greatly missed. She has entered the gates of Heaven too soon for us but I know not too soon for her. Wanda Smith

Norene was an extraordinary lady. She saw others as they wanted to be seen and could see Jesus in everyone. She took on the raising of her grandson and his brother even while caring for her own husband. She always had a smile on her face. I will miss her greatly. May God grant this family peace and strength. I will be praying for them. It was a pleasure to have known her and worked with her in the raising of these boys. In her honor I will continue to work with her sons, Josh and Brian to assist them in any way possible with Jimmie and those boys. She truly was a woman of God. Living as an example of Jesus. I know she in a better place. She will be missed here on earth. -Michelle Beauchaine-Bussey, Milton Bussey, Kory Hall Jr.

Norene and I were class mates. She was always such a sweet person. I don't believe I ever heard her say anything bad about anyone. I know Heaven is a little brighter with that sweet smile of hers. Prayers for her family during this difficult time. Rest assured you will see her again one day when we all get to Heaven.
