Myrtle Crapps Baughman

June 16, 1914 — August 7, 2018

Baughman-Ms. Myrtle Guyton Baughman, age 104, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Jesse Baughman and one of twelve children born to the late J. J. and Mattie Clamps Crapps, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  Fond memories of her will live on through her children: Johnny (Polly) Guyton, Joan (Charles) Sento and Ronald Baughman; her siblings, Alice Hunnicutt, Harry Crapps and Lucy Hall; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Everette Guyton and two daughters, Elaine Hughes and Lynda Guyton and five brothers and two sisters. She was born in Gilbert, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from Graniteville Company. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving her Lord there for over 60 years. Her hobbies included baking, bird watching, sewing, and working in her flower garden. She was a dear mother, sister, grandmother and friend who loved and enjoyed her family and friends with all her heart, and they inturn felt the same about her. A lady of her caliber shall be greatly missed by the many lives that she touched during her precious life span; however, life for her has not ended as she has just joined her many love ones who have gone on before her in her new Heavenly home where no sad goodbyes are ever spoken in a Land of endless tomorrows.  A graveside service will be held at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Gillette officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 194 Ascauga Lake Rd., Graniteville, S.C. 29829. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign our guest register by logging on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
