Maxie Robert Pearson

PEARSON-Maxie Robert Pearson, Sr., age 82, of Trenton, S.C., loving husband for 30 years to Joyce DeWitt Pearson and son of the late Donald Pearson and the late Essie Mae Lowe Pearson, answered God’s call and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Rocky (Jamie) Pearson of Trenton, S.C.; daughters, Joyce (Harold) Slaven and Angie Tinsley both of Aiken, S.C., Michelle (Jody) Padgett of Graniteville, S.C., Amy Pearson of Trenton, S.C., Theresa Hutto and Rhonda Jackson both of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Donnette (Jerry) Stone of Montmorenci, S.C.; brothers, David (Rosalee) Pearson of Graniteville, S.C., George (Monica) Pearson of Trenton, S.C. and Doug (Lee) Pearson of Clearwater, S.C.; twenty grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Maxie Robert Pearson, Jr. and a daughter, Wanda Lower. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was the owner of Maxie’s Drywall Co. He was a Charter Member of Christian Heritage Church. His wife stated that he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a very humble man who loved everyone; a trait which yielded him many friends. He loved horses, chickens and beekeeping. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 82 years that God granted him on this earth. The family will receive friends at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, S.C. on Friday evening, April 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life and homegoing, will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Stephen Phillips, Rev. Jonathan Randall and Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Pearson, Lamar DeWitt, Sandra and Donald Jackson. The family wishes to extend a “Heartfelt Thank You” to the Doctors and staff of Azalea Woods Nursing Home in Aiken for the wonderful care that they gave to their loved one during his stay there.
