Johnnie W. "JW" Brown

Mr. Johnnie W. “J.W.” Brown, age 84, entered into rest on Wednesday October 7th, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Augusta Georgia.

He is survived by his son, Clay (Dallas) Brown, Graniteville SC; daughters, Belinda Brown (Neel), Aiken SC, Jennifer Brown (Scott), Tampa FL; grandchildren, John Lawton Brown, Denton TX, Shelby Rae Brown, Graniteville SC; Kelly Noelle Sonnen, Tampa FL, Ryan Thomas Ramsey, Tampa FL, Shannon Clay Brown, Aiken SC; sister, Adeline Matthews, Saluda SC; many nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Lesley (John) Corwin and their children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Edith Brown; and brother, Jerry Brown.

Mr. Brown was born in Ridge Spring SC and has been a life-long resident of Aiken County. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines and is retired from the Savannah River Site. Mr. Brown will be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched in the 84 years that God granted him here on earth.

In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation or formal services conducted.

Me and my children lived beside Mr. Johnnie on Legion Road. He was always so helpful and so sweet. They couldn't wait to get home everyday to walk next door, get a sucker and tell him about their day. He was the sweetest man ever, and will forever be missed.

I will definitely miss stopping by Legion Road and having long chats with Mr Johnnie, on my way into Aiken. He was wonderful friend to my parents and will be greatly missed.
