Jeanette Doolittle Newman

NORTH AUGUSTA-Jeanette “Jackie” Doolittle Newman, age 68, daughter of the late Jack Doolittle, Sr. and the late Beatrice Chriswell Doolittle, entered into rest at her residence on Monday, February 13, 2017. She is survived by brothers, David (Ruby)Doolittle of Gloverville, S.C., Timothy Doolittle and Farrell (Shirley) Doolittle both of North Augusta, S.C. and Eddie (Naomi) Chriswell of Ninety Six, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Newman and a son, Les Newman. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker, a loving sister, aunt and friend. She loved to ride horses in Hitchcock Woods. She was also an avid flower gardener. Most of all, she devoted her life to caring for her younger brother, Timothy. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 68 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Fond memories of Jeanette shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clinton D. Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Corey Doolittle, Keith Langley, Kevin Matthews, Paul Larravee, Jeffrey White and Mark Gregory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, February 16th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
