Dr. Rev. Wilma Anaweise Porterfield McClain

McClain- Dr. Rev. Wilma Anaweise Porterfield McClain, age 69, of Graniteville, S. C., entered into eternal rest, after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, June 17, 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn (Lee) Duvall of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren, Melanie and Dana DuVall; a sister, Linda Jones of Langley, S.C. and her best friend/like a sister, Sherril Mikell of Gloverville, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a dedicated Minister of the Gospel. She spent her life winning souls to Christ and even on her death bed she was instrumental in doing so. She loved her family and friends, but most of all, she had a sincere compassion for their souls. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 69 years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace, and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Gloverville, S.C. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sherrill Green, Rev. David Flanders, Rev. Stephen Phillips, Bishop Ray Boggs and Rev. Edner Herrera officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S. C. The Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hudson, Mark Hudson, Donnie Hudson, Jerry Jennings, Bill Goodwin and Tracy Goodwin. Friends and Family members will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations, in her honor, may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses. The family will receive friends at the Church, Tuesday evening, June 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the arrangements. I was shocked to see the obituary for your Mom. I will never forget our time together as roommates in Warrenville. She and I learned a lot from each other. She taught me how to be more on the quiet side and I taught her how to be a little more assertive. We had wonderful Bible studies at the house and my family came to love her as I did, especially lil Rick. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for God's comfort and peace to you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Mom/Best Friend/Confidant, there not enough words to describe all that were and always will mean to me. You lived such an amazing Godly life, and even though you touched countless lives throughout your life span, I was the one who was the lucky one. I was able to witness it best, because I had the honor of calling you Mama. Oh Mama, we miss you terribly, and I am so lost without you, but I know that you are so happy now!!! You are finally with your babies that you waited for so very long to see. I know that there is such a family reunion going on in Heaven right now. But most importantly, you're are finally with Jesus. The one you lived your entire life to please and serve. Mama, I love you so much!!! We'll see you very soon, to separated no more. To spend eternity together!! I love you my sweet Mama!!!

Prayers for you Lynn and family. Although she's now healed and in her heavenly home, praise God...no more sickness or pain....still I know you are hurting and lost without her. She is a wonderful woman who made many beautiful impressions on so many people's lives. She will be missed. I'm thankful I got to meet her, know her, and became family to this awesome spiritual loving lady. May God comfort all of you and give you peace in your hearts. Love all of you and your family very much. Brandy Gregory

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family. During this difficult time, God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit He saves. Psalms 34:18
