Darell E. Altman

May 5, 1948 — September 24, 2020

Darrell E. Altman, age 72, of Aiken, S.C., son of the late William A. and Ida Mae Brown Altman, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 24, 2020. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Jerry McGee; a neice, Ashley (Kevin) Gillian and a nephew, Dale (Leisha) McGee and his neighbor and fishing buddy, Leland (Dorothy) Wood. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S. C. He was of the Baptist Faith. In his working years, he was employed as a Doffer for Graniteville Company, and he had also worked for Sizemore Security. He loved to drive a boat and fish. His sister stated that he was very good in tearing up things and had such a sweet spirit that everyone loved. He shall be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Death is not the end, as he has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace in a land of endless tomorrows. Due to the Pandemic (Covid-19) distancing requirement, a private graveside service for immediate family and close friends only will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, S. C. with Rev. Stephen Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Caryle Senior Care in Aiken, S.C. for the wonderful care extended to their loved one during his stay there.  Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of all of the arrangements, and you may sign the guest registry by logging on to  www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
