Carolyn Jordan New, age 77, entered into rest on Friday, January 26th, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Michael L. New, James Laddie New, Jr. (Vera); brother, Richard Jordan (Kathryn); sister, Linda Sheets (Steve); sisters in law, Iris and Frances Jordan; grandchildren, Megan, Nicholas and Lewis New; a special friend who was like a daughter, Sheila Blackwell Wells; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brunson and Fannie Mae Gregory Jordan; daughter, Susan I. New; and brothers, Carl and Gerald Jordan. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched in the 77 years that God granted her on this earth. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at Redds Branch Baptist Church, at 3 o’clock pm with the Rev. Stephen Phillips officiating. The interment will be private.
