Alvin B. Phillips, Sr.
Mr. Alvin B. Phillips, Sr., age 93, son of the late Benjamin and Susie Phillips, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter, Janice (Jim) Cushman; son, Alvin B. (Lilli Anne) Phillips, Jr.; five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Graniteville and is a World War II Veteran. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he impacted in the 93 precious years he had on this earth. A funeral service celebrating his life will be conducted on Monday, February 5th, 2018 at 3 o'clock pm at First Baptist Church of Graniteville with the Rev. Todd Sessions officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Janice and Alvin Jr, we use to live in the rental house. We really loved living beside each of you. Your parents were very special to me coming up. My Mom's name is Polly and Dad's name was Luther (Shorty) he was in service with your father. My Mother lives with me and we both are deeply saden for the loss of your Dad. He was such a sweet and dear person inside and out, he will be deeply missed. God bless each of you through this difficult time and to help heal your hearts. Prayers are with all of your family's.
